• Net foreign direct and portfolio investment into Indonesia totaled US$23.2 billion in 2013, according to official balance of payments (BOP) data.
• The country’s Gross Domestic Product reached US$868.3 billion as of 2013, increasing by 6.15% for the past three years since 2010.
• In 2012, agribusiness sector contributed 23.44% of Indonesia’s total GDP. The plantation sub-sector (food crops, plantation crops and others) is the largest contributor at 77%.

• With a population of around 240 million, as the fourth most populated country in the world, Indonesia has a growing demand for food consumption with growing population likely to reach 280 million by 2030.

• Indonesia is considered to be the world’s fastest growing consumer market after India and China. GDP reached US$1.2 trillion in 2012 and is growing steadily at around 6% annually.
