The 2014 BCPC Congress will attract an even larger and more diverse representation from the European and international crop protection industry. We will again deliver a programme of relevant, engaging presentations and a lively exhibition, all of which will provide valuable information and excellent networking opportunities for all those working in areas influenced by regulatory affairs.

This year’s theme will be on “Precaution or Innovation?”. In addition to updates on the most recent regulatory initiatives, we will examine how the ever-increasing EU regulatory burden is having a negative effect on the development of new products and, in turn, affecting the ability of Europe to produce food in a sustainable and cost-effective manner.

The programme will include presentations from influential industry, government, and academic representatives, and leading consultants. Sessions will cover mainstream agrochemical and biopesticide regulatory activities, relevant developments in human and environmental health, current regulatory “hotspots” (yes, including updates on pollinator issues!) and reflections on balancing risk, precaution and innovation.
