The conference theme is : "Advances in Rubber Plantations & Global Opportunities"

Rubber is given a new lease of life as the global economy recovers, demand returns and price recuperates. This has propelled the rubber producing countries to seek innovative approaches to increase yield and the quality of rubber. Governments are encouraging investments and new plantations are being developed to meet the supply/demand gap.

"The Vietnamese Rubber Enterprise Federation (VREF) announced it would invest an additional US$200 million on planting rubber trees in Cambodia from 2009 to 2012, on top of a previous $600 million commitment." June 2010, The Phnom Penh Post

CMTs RubberPLANT Summit will bring together a panel of experts to debate and discuss natural rubber issues; from market economics to plantation management to sustainability.

Why Cambodia?

With vast land availability and the promotion of concession land to attract investors, Cambodia is the next frontier for rubber investments. New estates are being set up outside the traditional zones by local & foreign investors and the World Heritage City Siem Reap is one of them! Gather in Siem Reap this February 2011 for the latest developments in natural rubber.
