The Agribusiness Science Symposium is part of the annual calendar of activities of the Center for Studies and Research in Agribusiness (CEPAN), based on the Faculty of Agronomy of the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS). The general objective of the event is to promote and disseminate knowledge on the topic of "Big Data in Agribusiness", through lectures and debates with experts on the subject.
The Symposium aims to promote the exchange, dissemination and stimulation of the production of knowledge, proposals and solutions that contribute to the development of new ideas, initiatives and the building of alliances for innovation and sustainability in agribusiness. The event will bring together a range of activities, including: lectures, reports of experiences and presentations of scientific papers
In 2017 the 5th edition of the Symposium will be held, with the theme: Big Data in Agribusiness. Submissions will take place between July 10 to september 3. The papers should be sent to
