We are happy to invite you to the Meeting of the IOBC Working Group
Integrated Control in Protected Crops, Temperate Climate. The meeting is organized by  PCS - Ornamental Plant Research.

This Working Group get-together will focus on IPM in covered crops, where we aim to address all major aspects of integrated pest management in covered crops, from the development of new applications to the optimisation of proven approaches, from preventive to curative approaches. All participants are motivated to participate in an active way, by submitting an abstract to give a presentation. Topics should cover greenhouse pests’ and their predators’ biology, ecology, behaviour and integrated pest management, since the meeting’s theme is
Integrating Integrated & Biological Pest Management. Accepted papers will be published in the IOBC-WPRS Bulletin.

Call for abstracts in a 2-step process

Those who wish to present a paper are invited to submit an
abstract before March 1st, 2014. Abstracts will be evaluated for acceptance by the Organizing Committee. By May 1st, 2014 the presenting author will be notified whether the abstract has been preliminary accepted for participation and is invited to write a full paper by June 15th, 2014. The guidelines for presentation and publication can be consulted on the website: www.iobcghent2014.org.

Preliminary session subjects are: induced resistance, side effects of pesticides on beneficials, alternative food for beneficials, hyperparasitism and intraguild predation, new emerging pests, diseases and beneficials, IPM applied,…. There will also be a grower interaction session where growers and scientists will meet and have a chance to share their knowledge.

Instructions for abstracts
