1.   Singapore, 15 June 2010 – Dubai will host the 2nd Middle East – Africa – Asia Rice Summit on 20th and 21st June 2010 at the JW Marriot Hotel.

2.   This Summit organized by Singapore-based company, Magenta Global and supported by Thai Rice Exporters Association, Federation of Cambodian Rice Millers Associations and Agricultural and Food Marketing Association for Asia and the Pacific (AFMA) will be attended by representatives from some 16 countries representing the leading rice producers, traders & importers, food authorities & agricultural representatives, millers, commodity finance institutions, post harvest equipment suppliers & quality surveyors supporting the rice trade. 

3.   Discussions will be on trends & opportunities impacting on the global rice trade, price drivers and production forecast & the future of rice.  Key features of the rice trade & drivers of 2010 and beyond will be deliberated upon.

4.   Taking the spotlight will be discussion on market outlook in Vietnam, Pakistan, India, Cambodia, Myanmar, East & Southern Africa, US and Argentina.
