Interact, network & exchange opinions on commercialization of Jatropha for fuel & energy at JatrophaWorld 2010 in Rotterdam

CMT is proud to have JatrophaWorld 2010 back amidst headline grabbing announcements and remarkable progresses achieved by some growers. Certain growers in Africa and Asia, including JatrophaWorld 2010 speakers Bioenergy Develoment Co., Ltd (Thailand) and Biofuel Africa (Ghana) have put out crude Jatropha oil for sale in the commercial market.

As the year 2010 sees the involvement of some high profile organizations such as General Motors, NASA and Toyota Tsuho in the revival of Jatropha, JatrophaWorld 2010 takes a bird’s-eye view on Jatropha development worldwide while zooming into key commercialization issues.

These issues include good practices in plantation management, mechanized harvesting, perspectives of key end-users, sustainability criteria and certification requirements, Jatropha R&D in crop improvement and seedcake utilization and advances in processing technologies.

JatrophaWorld 2010 aims to explore the commercialization of Jatropha by dividing the conference into 5 key areas namely, A-Z of Jatropha Production – global Jatropha practitioners’ roundtable, End-users’ perspectives on the Jatropha value chain, Sustainability & certification, carbon credits, Jatropha R&D and Processing technologies & downstream considerations.

Key speakers contributing at the conference include Synthetic Genomics Inc, TNT, KLM, Agroipsa, SG Biofuels, Sun Biofuels, Api Nova Energia, BEI International, Neste Oil, Renewable Fuels Agency (RFA), Roundtable on Sustainable Biofuels (RSB), Joil Ptd Ltd.

JatrophaWorld 2010 also entitles its delegates privileged access to the RBCN (Rotterdam Biomass Commodities Network) Networking meeting.

RBCN is a business-to-business network for traders and other relevant parties active in the biomass supply chain. It is one of the activities initiated and supported by the Rotterdam Climate Initiative to strengthen the position of Rotterdam as the sustainable biomass hub for Europe and to promote the import, processing and trade of biomass.

JatrophaWorld is the leading platform for the global Jatropha community to interact and exchange ideas on accelerating the commercialization of Jatropha for fuel and energy.

Those keen to gain latest insights on commercialization of Jatropha should attend the conference in Rotterdam. All sponsorship and media partnership enquiries can be sent to Miss Hafizah at hafizah@cmtsp.com.sg.
