Entries now open through December 21 for companies who wish to participate in the World Agri-Tech Pitch Day on March 18, 2019 in San Francisco

The World Agri-Tech Innovation Summit and Radicle Growth, an acceleration fund dedicated to growing early-stage Agtech and Foodtech startups into industry leaders, today announced the second annual Radicle Challenge at the 2018 World Agri-Tech Pitch Day. Radicle Growth will invest $250k in the winner of the Pitch Day, which will take place on March 18, 2019 in San Francisco.

Between now and December 21, seed-stage Agtech/Foodtech startups worldwide are encouraged to apply to participate in the Pitch Day. All companies selected as finalists will benefit from pre-pitch coaching from Radicle Growth ahead of their presentations on March 18. The winner of the Pitch Day will receive a $250k investment from Radicle Growth and will also have the opportunity to present to an audience of over 1,000 global agribusiness leaders and investors at the World Agri-Tech Innovation Summit on March 19-20.

This year, The Radicle Challenge is extending its search across the wider agri-food spectrum. Speaking on the Challenge, Kirk Haney, Managing Partner of Radicle Growth, said:
“We are honored to have pioneered this concept with World Agri-Tech to help fund the best entrepreneurs around the world and help bring their technologies to market more quickly.  Given the volume of applicants we saw last year, there is a clear need for more than just capital – early stage entrepreneurs need access to the contacts and coaching that can help pave the way for their company in its infancy.

“We provide a network to the companies we invest in that they normally wouldn’t have access to at that point in time. For the 2019 Radicle Challenge, we are looking for technologies across the value chain and specifically in automation, Big Data/AI, biologicals, FinTech, Foodtech, IOT, robotics, and seed and genomics technologies.”

Finalists from the 2018 Radicle Challenge included: BeeHero (Israel), eggXYt (Israel), HerdDogg (USA), RootWave (UK), Sollum (Canada), Tortuga AgTech (USA), Vence Corp (USA) and TradeLanes (USA).

All potential investments are subject to final terms and conditions and normal and customary due diligence. For entries, criteria and terms & conditions please visit https://worldagritechusa.com/radicle-challenge/
