What”s new?
Call for abstracts
The 2014 Conference marks the first edition where the call for abstracts is open not only for scientific presentations but also for industry-oriented presentations.
To attract and engage industry, the Executive Committee has decided to set up the Industry Committee coordinated by Kyriakos Maniatis from DG ENER, that will evaluate abstracts in order to promote the interests and needs of the Bioenergy Industry. The special call for Industry Abstracts marks an opportunity for the Bioenergy Industry to complement the scientific programme of the 22nd EU BC&E. Furthermore, the Industry Committee may directly suggest key personalities from the industry to make presentations on strategic subjects.
Deadline for receipt of abstracts: 28 October 2013

Why Hamburg?
A city like Hamburg offers endless possibilities for visitors with a veritable kaleidoscope of attractions ranging from more than 50 museums and a host of venues for drama, concerts and musicals to the second largest European harbour.
Besides its long and well-known Hanseatic trading tradition, Hamburg is home to Europe”s most innovative and future oriented districts such as Wilhelmsburg. Here, you can discover new sustainable buildings in the works or already completed such as the Algae-House and the Woodcube, probably the most prominent examples of housing concepts with integrated biomass use.
The CCH - Congress Center Hamburg is one of the biggest and most contemporary centres in Europe with a complete range of services, a large capacity and its compact architecture in a large space. It is centrally located in downtown Hamburg near the "Dammtor" InterCity train station. You can reach it quickly and reliably using any means of transportation.
