2011 together with the cooperation of Mersin Chamber of Commerce & Industry and Forza Fairs & Organization Services Inc.

Production capacity of about 36 million tons of fruit and vegetables in a year that has allowed to Turkey to gain one of the most important exporters all Europe.

Mersin as a city, located in Mediterranean coast of Turkey and withs 1600 hectare agricultural lands Mersin is Turkeys agricultural warehouse. Also, Mersin has the second greatest city on greenhouse production with the scope of all Turkey. Mersin has also some advantages in agricultural production such as fertile soil, subtropical climate, avarage 290 days / year sunny days, wide crop variety, early fruit / vegetable growing, plenty of water, %64 lemon production,%69 citrus, %86 pulse exportation of Turkey is made over from Mersin, modern greenhouses, conditions are suitable for agricultural production and investment and also for organic production. Packaging sector is also impostants sub sector of agriculture for Mersin due to reason of Mersin’s high potential in fruit and vegetables production. Also %25 of flower production made over from Mersin.

POST FAIR REPORT OF 5th Mersin International Agriculture & Horticulture Fair

Mersin 5th International Agriculture Fair was organized with the attandance of 309 exhibitors on a total area of 8.945 sqm on Mersin Yenisehir Fairground, Mersin – Turkey by Forza Fairs & Organization Services Co. Inc.

Holland, Turkey, Spain, France, Egypt, Greece, Israel and England was directly exhibited on the fifth edition of the exhibition. 10 companies was directly participated and 71 international represantative companies attended the previous exhibition as an exhibitor. 8 countries ( Including Turkey ) directly took part in the expo.

213 international proffessional visitor from 11 different countries visited the exhibition. Here below please find the distribution of these trade visitors according to their countries,

Kuwait, Syria, Iraq, Iran, Belgium, Spain, Holland, Nigeria, Jordan, Lebanon and Bulgaria.

In total, the exhibition was visited by 30.110 visitors, 213 of them was international proffessional visitors, 11550 of them national proffessional visitors from different cities of Turkey. Bus trips was organized from different cities of Turkey which is strong in agricultural sector. With the cooperation of Mersin Chamber of Commerce & Industry, bus trips was also organized within Mersin city.
