Papers are invited for the 38th Symposium on Pesticide Formulation and Delivery Systems: Innovative Application, Formulation and Adjuvant Technologies to be held Tuesday- Thursday, October 10-12, 2017. Sponsored by ASTM Committee E35 on Pesticides, Antimicrobials, and Alternative Control Agents., the symposium will be held at the Sheraton New Orleans in New Orleans, LA in conjunction with the October standards development meetings of Committee E35.
This symposium will provide a forum for the presentation and discussion of formulation and application technologies associated with agrochemical products. Particular attention will be given to innovative technologies targeting more efficient, more effective, safer and more precise delivery of crop protection and production products. The symposium will also focus on the chemistry and physical properties of these products and the role they play in their application and delivery; novel, innovative or targeted delivery systems or formulations; methods for assessing the impact of formulated products on product delivery; and regulatory issues impacting the agrochemical formulation and application industries. Other topics of interest include, but are not limited to: effects on pollinators, UAS delivery systems, drift reduction technologies, sustainability of current and upcoming pesticide products and formulations, and innovative chemistries for future use.
The language of the symposium will be English.
To participate in the symposium, presenters/authors must submit a 250-300 word preliminary abstract online using the Abstract Submittal Form no later than April 28, 2017.
Symposium presenters are required to submit their papers to the Selected Technical Paper (STP), an online and printed, peer-reviewed publication for the international scientific and engineering community. After the final selection of abstracts has been approved, the ASTM Editorial Office will send authors’ instructions via email only. Manuscripts to be peer reviewed for the STP are due online no later than September 29, 2017 at the ASTM Editorial Office. The corresponding author (the author who is the main contact with ASTM Headquarters) will receive a copy of his/her paper in portable document format (PDF). All published authors will have the opportunity to purchase reprints of their papers at a nominal cost. Only those papers submitted by the manuscript due date will be included in the STP.
Please note that all submitted papers are subject to single blind peer review and will be submitted to the Library of Congress with an ISBN number and will be reviewed for inclusion in the "Thomson & Reuters Web of Science's Conference Proceedings Citation Index" (CPCI) and Google Scholar.
