The 6th LATIN-AMERICAN PESTICIDE RESIDUE WORKSHOP: FOOD AND ENVIRONMENT (LAPRW 2017) is going to take place from the 14th through the 17th of May, 2017.The main goal of the event is to continue with the successful series of Latin American workshops on the topic of pesticide residue that began in 2007, in the city of Santa María, State of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. Subsequently, there have been four other versions: Santa Fe, Argentina; Montevideo, Uruguay; Bogotá, Colombia, and, Santiago, Chile.

These international workshops represent a major step toward the improvement of agrochemicals science in Latin America. It is also an ideal way to keep scientists and regulators informed about advances in the pesticide residue regulation in food and the environment, methodologies of analysis, instrumentation, risk analysis, monitoring, control and quality assurance of laboratories.
