APK-Inform Agency announces the 3rd international conference Middle East Grain Congress, which will be held on February 25, 2017, in Dubai, UAE, Radisson Blu Hotel Dubai Deira Creek 5*.

The Middle East and North Africa are the traditional significant markets for wheat, taking into account the constant growth of population in the region, and inability to achieve the required self-production of grains. At the same time, the season-2015/16 showed some reduction of grain supplies in direction of the Middle East countries, despite the growing volumes in previous years, while North African importers continued increasing wheat purchases. According to the forecast, the reporting trend will take place developing in the current season.

USDA predicts wheat harvest in the Middle East at 39.3 mln tonnes in 2016/17 MY against 41.8 mln tonnes last season. Wheat production in North Africa will total 14.2 mln tonnes, against 19.9 mln tonnes in 2015/16 MY. At the same time, the domestic consumption in the Middle East is forecasted to reach 60.9 mln tonnes, up nearly 1 mln tonnes compared to the last year results. North Africa demonstrates the similar trend: 44.85 mln tonnes versus 43.63 mln tonnes respectively.

For the second running year, APK-Inform Agency chooses Dubai, the UAE, as the venue for Middle East Grain Congress. Dubai is considered as the major trading hub for agricultural products in the Arab world with good reason. In particular, the convenient geographical location and access to the markets of the Gulf countries, North Africa, and the whole Middle East region, give new exclusive business opportunities. In addition, together with Middle East Grain Congress the participants will be able to visit the largest international exhibition of the food industry in the Persian Gulf - Gulfood 2017.

Target audience: international trading companies, grain millers, importers, inspection and logistics companies, banks, state companies, engineering companies, brokers, industrial associations, etc.

Expected number of participants - 150-200 delegates from the Middle East, North Africa and Black Sea countries.
