China's ''One, Belt, one Road initiative is a comprehensive framework for organizing multinational economic development and trade, which has inspired the creation of China Trade Week (CTW). Under the background of ''One Belt, One Road,'' MIE has already successfully held several high-quality Chinese goods exhibitions in the countries along the route. Established in 2013, China Trade Week had its first event in the United Arab Emirates which was warmly welcomed by the local community.

In 2017, China Trade Week was launched in Ghana, which welcomed nearly 5000 visitors over the 2 days. The event served as a platform for Chinese manufacturing companies to estbalish trade relationsips with the local business community. Over 100 exhibitors from a wide range of industries were gathered to showcase their high-quality products from China. Sectors that covered the 2017 event included  power & energy, lighting, home electronics, construction materials, machinery & special vehicles, laptops & smartphones, clothing & textiles, and personal care. The event as welll provided a unique opportunity for the local business community to take advantage of the event's high-quality and competitively priced products.

China Trade Week series of events has always been successful that's why MIE Events decided to expand its scope. At present, CTW had been hosting in South Africa, Ethiopia and Morocco, having our 7 events in 2017 including Ghana, Kenya, the UAE and Iran with more than 5000 Government institutions and enterprises participating in the events.

China Trade Week is one of the most professional and high-level event. It is the only comprehensive China-focused event in Ghana wich is now on its 2nd year taking place at Kempenski Hotel Gold coast City on 8th-9th May 2018.

China Trade Week Ghana will be even bigger and better in its 2nd edition. The visitors may expect the best China has to offer with over 200 Chinese manufacturers who will be showcasing their products in the 2018 event

Small and medium-sized enterprises (SME) can enjoy full support from China Chamber of Commerce concerning China Trade Week - Ghana, which means enterprises attending the event can apply for overseas exhibition subsidy from the government if they meet the requirements.
