Outlook for Agriculture 2013 is designed to keep you on top of the most pressing issues facing the European agribusiness sector. With national governments under increasing pressure to cut spending the EU budget is a more contentious issue than ever – and with the CAP accounting for approximately 44% of the budget it is a central issue for many countries.

Organised by industry leading publication Agra Europe, Outlook for Agriculture examines the latest changes to the CAP and the effect these changes and cuts will have upon key markets and production levels. The future of European sugar refiners is highly uncertain due to current legislation, whilst beet producers move from strength to strength and after 2015 milk quotas will expire leading to a liberalisation of the market – key products are going to see big changes in the coming years and Outlook for Agriculture is perfectly placed to help you plan your procurement strategy accordingly.

Feeding the planet in the coming decades is going to be an enormous challenge – with rapidly increasing pressure to produce more food for the planets booming population, macroeconomic issues like resource scarcity, food security and international land deals are going to define agricultural production around the globe in the coming seasons. Dedicated sessions on these topics are designed to help you assess the broader strategic issues that are going to affect you in the future.

The 2 days examine the intersection of CAP policy and market forces, helping you to build a complete picture of the sector you work in. Industry leaders will examine changes to sugar, dairy, grain and edible oils markets to ensure you have a detailed picture of key soft commodity movements and plan your buying strategies accordingly – if you’re going to stay ahead of the competition you need real insights with real value.

Outlook for Agriculture 2013 is a critical, unbiased event that brings together the best minds from across the sector to discuss the issues that really matter and develop strategies for meeting the challenges facing the food and agricultural sectors head on. If you need real insights into policy developments, production outlooks and big picture issues then you need to come to Brussels this February 27-29.
