China International Agrichemical & Crop Protection Exhibition (CAC) boasts over 700 exhibitors from more than 20 countries and regions, and attracts nearly 20,000 professional visitors formed of purchasers from more than 100 countries and regions. Each year, 30 Indian companies including Excel, Intox, Sabero Organics, Punjab, GSP Crop Sciences, Indofil, Sulphur Mills, Sree Ramcides Chemicals, Bharat, Tagros, Chemexcil exhibit in CAC. Nearly 500 buyers from India fly to Shanghai to visit CAC meeting with the selected manufacturers & providers and seeking trade opportunities & cooperation, which makes India the country with largest number of visitors to CAC apart from China. Taking in view of the vibrant trade and market potential, CAC INDIA SUMMIT is launched to better strengthen the pesticide industry of the two countries, provide direct connections for Indian local companies to meet with China high-quality manufacturers & traders, and create more trade & investment opportunities. Besides, CAC INIDA SUMMIT provides you high efficient two-day experts lectures and table-top meetings. Government officials and industry experts will be invited to give in-depth guidance on the pesticide registration, market, manufacture and investment policy to promote better understanding of the China and India pesticide market, promote the bilateral trade as well as joint-venture investment. CAC organizer CCPIT CHEM cooperating with PMFAI will combine the synergy of the two major industries and build another direct and significant agrochemical trade platform.

 Market Background

China continuously growing pesticide output reached a record-high 2.26 milliontons in 2009, with 12.3% up comparing with the year before. China pesticide export increased 4.7% in 2009 and it has been exceeding import for years. China has ranked herself as the world largest pesticide production and export base.
Due to the rapid growth of pesticide industry in recent years, India has become the worlds fourth largest producer of pesticides. With increasing market demand resulting from the expanding population, India will continue to keep the growing momentum in the future, expecting to maintain an average increase rate of 7.6% from 2007 to 2014 and reaching a market value of $27 billion in the year of 2014.
Due to its advanced pesticide formulations technology, India annually imports $300 million of pesticides and intermediates from China for formulations processing; the complementary upstream and downstream industry chain makes trade & cooperation between the two countries have great opportunities and market potential.

Founded in July 1990, CCPIT Sub-Council of Chemical Industry aims at promoting trade, economic and technology cooperation between China and the rest of the world. PESTICIDES MANUFACTURERS & FORMULATORS ASSOCIATION OF INDIA (PMFAI)

The Pesticides Manufacturers & Formulators Association of India (PMFAI) was formed to unite generic industrialists and other manufacturers and formulators for the purpose of increasing agricultural production and competitiveness throughout the country. The Pesticides Formulators Association of India came into existence in the year 1967 and its name was subsequently changed in 1997 to Pesticides Manufacturers & Formulators Association of India (PMFAI). The mission of the PMFAI is to promote innovation in formulations technology and environmentally sound use of crop protection / public health products so as to ensure high quality and abundant food and fire for the growing population in the Indian sub-continent. Through programs, projects, eports and other activities, the PMFAI seeks to foster cooperation amongst its members to foment generic anufacturing, product formulation and distribution for the benefit of the country.
