Facing challenges, turning crisis into opportunity
27-28, Aug Hangzhou, China
Titile Sponsor: Qilu Pharmaceutical (Inner Mongolia) Co., Ltd.
In 2019, China's Chemical Industry experienced an extraordinary year. Under the pressure of safety production requirements, the national chemical parks carried out strict management and rectification, which had a great impact on chemical production and also affected the international pesticides purchase. This year, the structural adjustment of China's pesticide industry has also continued to accelerate, with frequent merger and acquisition cases, and more pesticide varieties began to be concentrated in the hands of fewer manufacturers.
Going into 2020, the mankind has encountered a major crisis of COVID-19. The industry ecology of all industries has been hit by this. The international trade of pesticides has also been blocked, while the demand is still strong. At the same time, at the policy level, the European Union, India, Thailand and other places have successively released very strong signals that global need for agricultural plant protection has structurally changed towards substitution, and new trade trends will become clearer in the future.
The China Pesticide Exporting Workshop (CPEW) has been successfully held for three consecutive years and has become a platform for discussing the development trends of the global agrochemical and agriculture market. It has also helped meet global business procurement needs. Over 250 Chinese and 100 foreign companies have participated in the workshop, which include multinationals and local pesticide industry leaders, Chinese and Indian pesticide manufacturers and traders.
To minimize the impact of COVID-19, CPEW2020, originally scheduled for July 2020, will be postponed to 27 to 28, August in Hangzhou. In the post COVID-19 era, how should pesticide companies recognize the reshaping of the global supply chain and find their own development positioning? How should they identify and grasp the new trends in global agricultural development? This is the issue that CPEW wants to focus on.
