Expo overview:

India has become the fourth largest pesticides producer in the world. With the increasing demand for agricultural development brought by Indian population growth, the pesticides market in India will continue to maintain an increasing momentum in the next few years. It is predicted that the annual growth rate of Indian pesticides market could reach 7.6% from 2007-2014. The turnover of this market in 2014 is expected to reach USD 2.7 billion. There are more than 800 pesticides manufacturers in India. As the cost for raw materials in India is very high, and the pesticides formulation processing technology is advanced, Indian pesticides enterprises tend to import raw materials from China and then process in India. The total sums for parent pesticides and intermediates imported from China by India reaches USD300 million each year. The complementation between upstream industrial chain and downstream industrial chain creates huge rooms for cooperation and great market potential for the two countries.

The first CAC India Summit was successfully held in Bombay, India on Nov. 22-23, 2010. More than 30 enterprises from China and India attended this submit which attracted nearly 300 professionals from China, India and Pakistan, and countries and regions in South America and Arab countries attending this submit and visiting the exhibition. We had invited industry experts from China and India to make brilliant report over the topics that concerned by Chinese and Indian enterprises including the pesticides registration policies, market trends and import and export situations and opportunities in both countries, and pesticides formulation development and investment policies in India on this summit. And this has received good comments by all representatives. Matchmaking business meeting of this expo also acquired remarkable results. Exhibitors have all expressed that the holding of this summit and expo has provided a very good platform for the development of pesticides industry among the two countries, and powerfully promoted domestic excellent enterprises’ pace of opening local market for their quality products.

China and India are occupying increasingly important positions in global pesticides stage. Enhancing the communication, cooperation and trading of pesticides industry between China and India is a win-win move. CAC India Summit has acquired full support from Pesticides Manufactures & Formulators Association of India. It is an important move for enforcing the industrial communication between the two countries. And it will open a wider market for China’s export of parent pesticides to India.
